This is a powerfully old piece of lineart (at least 3 or 4 years old, I'd say), but coloring it was the first step out of my "art funk". It seemed like every time I tried to draw something, I'd throw the sketchbook down in disgust; anything I drew looked terrible. Finally last weekend I found myself so bored and uninspired that I fished through old work, plucked this one out (because I liked it well enough to keep it nearby) and started coloring away. Pretty soon coloring it became fun, which led to me experimenting with mixing watercolor pencils with the markers to add texture. And then I got a little carried away. The background (as per usual) was done on the computer. The character fully by hand.
Anyway, this is Ichigo Momomiya anime style in her Mew Mew outfit. For some reason I always liked the concept. (I guess because it's a little less pink?) Don't expect too many of these, but it's a nice reflection back at Tokyo Mew Mew for me, and possibly for Ichigo as well.
P.S. Please forgive the rough outlines.

Very lovely! I have to take a moment to tell you that when I was younger, I was beyond obsessed with TMM, and I used to look at your fanart all the time. I was on Neko Tokyo quite frequently as well. I guess I just want to say thanks for being one of my inspirations Keep up the good work!
